Pre - Cleaning & Fine Cleaning
In the process of pre-cleaning, the raw material "Toor" passes through a series of machines to remove impurities like sticks, stones, dry pod skins, any plastic or jute threads from the packaging, and any residual mud or dust from the farm.
Drying & Cooling
This stage ensures that every grain of toor is at an acceptable moisture level for further processing. The toor passes through an indirect heating chamber for a pre-set duration and is then transferred into "cooling bins," which help bring down the temperature gradually and remove any excess moisture from the toor.
De - husking
Once the toor is at an acceptable moisture level, it is passed through a series of hullers to remove the dry skin and expose the golden yellow color of the dry toor. This step is repeated numerous times to remove all of the outer skin of the Toor. During this process, some of the Toor splits into two halves naturally.

Splitting & Grading
The whole Dehusked toor is then passed through a fatka/chakki machine to split the remaining unsplit toor. The resultant toor dal then undergoes grading, where it is graded based on grain size.
Sorting
After grading, the toor dal passes through a state-of-the-art color sorter machine, where the grain is sorted according to color. Except for yellow, all other color grains are removed from the grains, and the pure yellow color grains are then sent to the polishing and finishing section.
Polishing
Based on customer requirements, the graded and sorted toor dal is either left natural, polished, or smeared with oil, depending on customer preference, before moving on to final packaging.
